Step 1
Open a new file (File > New) in Adobe Photoshop with the following settings.

Step 2
Fill background with any color you like. Then double – click to open Layer Style and set this gradient for our background.

Create a new Curve adjustment layer and use soft large Black brush with Opacity =50% then we erase the center part.

Step 3
Now we create a new group and name this group as ” S “. We will create text in separately. Now we begin with ” S ” text first. Add the text, I’ve choosen joint-by-pizzadude font which set 90px font size. We name this text layer as ” base 1 ”

Step 4
Double – click on text layer, from menu choose Blending mode . Add ” Drop shadow “.

Add ” Gradient Overlay “.

Then set ” Bevel and Emboss “.

Step 5
Duplicate the (Cmd + J) ” base 1 ” then we rename this copy as ” base 2 “. Move the ” base 2 ” to upper a little bit.

Now we change Layer Style a little bit. We begin with ” Drop Shadow ” first.

Next is ” Gradient Overlay ”

Step 6
Duplicate the (Cmd + J) ” base 2 ” then we rename this copy as ” base 3 “. In this step, we just change the Gradient Overlay a little bit.

Then we add ” Pattern Overlay ”

Step 7
In this step, we will make frosting. Now we create new layer and put on top, just press Ctrl/Cmd and click on “base 3 ” to make selection, then go to Select > Modify > Contract and set the values. We name layer as ” Cream S ”

Fill the frosting with any color you like. Then double – click to open Layer Style. Now we add ” Drop Shadow “.

Next is ” Gradient Overlay ”

And we add ” Contour ”

As you know , the frosting is never perfect. Now we add layer mask on ” Cream S ” layer and erase some outside part of the frosting.

Duplicate (Cmd + J) the frosting and move the copy upper a little bit.

Step 9
Next, we’ll add some sprinkles over the icing. We create a new group and name it as ” Sprinkle “. Pick the Ellipse Tool (U) and draw a small circle, then apply Layer Style like this.

Next is ” Gradient Overlay ”

Duplicate (Cmd + J) the sprinkle that we’ve create. Now we change the color, just double – click to open Layer Style and change Gradient Overlay.

Duplicate (Cmd + J) the sprinkles and resize them smaller, place them as the way you like. Here my result.

Now we’ve done with the ” S “. In this step, we duplicate the ” S ” group, rename the copy group as ” W “.

Step 17
Open the ” W ” folder, first you delete the ” Cream S ” layer , then turn off all the layers except 3 base layers, then you type the text ” w “.

Now we need to change frosting shape for text ” w ” , just Cmd + click on the text ” w ” to make selection then go to Select > Modify > Contract and set value = 8px. Fill it with any color you like on a new layer which name ” Cream W “.

Next, we apply Layer Style for the frosting ” Cream W “. Add the ” Drop shadow ”

Let’s create a new layer, name it as ” Frosting W ” , pick the brush and draw shape like this.

Next, we will work with letter ” T “. Just duplicate the group ” W ” then rename this group copy as ” T ” and change the text.

Create a new Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer. Then we use soft brush to erase some outside part.
